Our Story
It all started back in the early 2000s with a 13-year -old boy and an obsession with drawing chickens around, what is very clearly, a part of the male anatomy. Thanks to two very open minded parents who thought this was hilarious, these chickens, called Cockums, made a regular appearance in our house.
The boy created all kinds of Cockums, some with jobs, some with clothes, some with different celebrity likeness, and together, as a family we started to dream of a world where these chickens lived, and imagined one day, a really annoying human would show up and havoc would ensue.
An idea more than 20 years in the making, we’re so excited to see it come to life and how it has evolved. We hope you find the story as funny as we do.
Who We Are
Brought to life to share Cockingham with the world, Majic Coop is a family-run creative company built by a close-knit crew who share a love of making people laugh and a very similar—and sometimes questionable—sense of humor.
The name Majic Coop is a play on our family name, with a dose of chicken thrown in. Because apparently, once you start making things about chickens, there's no going back.
We’re amateur animators, writers, and voice actors who decided to stop keeping our weird ideas to ourselves. We create animated stories, characters, and worlds that make us laugh, and we hope they make you laugh too.
There’s no studio behind the curtain. No room full of executives telling us what’s marketable. Just family members bouncing ridiculous ideas off each other, writing jokes, recording voices, learning animation as we go, and occasionally wondering how something so silly has grown to be such a big part of our lives.
